Recycled polyester (or rPET) is a fabric made from synthetic fibers. It is made by recycling existing materials (such as plastic bottles and packaging) thus making it a more sustainable alternative but has all the characteristics and performance of a normal polyester.

Recycled polyester is made by crushing plastic products into small pieces which are then transformed into yarn, then into fiber and, finally, into fabric.

Producing recycled PET requires 33% to 53% less energy than creating polyester from scratch. Furthermore, rPet produces approximately 54.6% less CO2 emissions.
