The Story Behind EcoAGN: Why AGN Means Alessandro, Giada and Nicolò

EcoAGN was born in Italy in 2023 from an idea that was personal before it was commercial. The name itself comes from three people: Alessandro, Giada and Nicolò.

What does AGN mean?

AGN are the initials of Alessandro, Giada and Nicolò, the three children who inspired the brand. The name is a reminder that EcoAGN began around a family bond and the desire to build something with meaning behind it.

Why does that matter to the brand today?

Because EcoAGN is not trying to make matching swimwear only as a fashion statement. The brand focuses on moments that become emotionally important to couples: weddings, honeymoons, anniversaries and special journeys.

Why focus on honeymoons and anniversaries?

These trips are often photographed, remembered and talked about for years. A matching set worn during that journey can become attached to the memory of a place, a date and a moment in a relationship.

Why personalisation?

Names, wedding dates, anniversary dates and bespoke details make the product specific to the couple. EcoAGN reviews personalisation requests individually, including embroidered details inside the garment where feasible.

Where does sustainability fit?

EcoAGN's active swimwear uses rPET — recycled polyester made from recycled plastic. The collection highlights GRS recycled-content certification and OEKO-TEX Standard 100.

Why Marevivo?

The original idea behind EcoAGN included giving back. 50% of EcoAGN's net sales revenue is dedicated to Marevivo and marine-protection initiatives. For a brand connected to beach journeys and the sea, marine protection is part of the purpose rather than a separate marketing theme.

What is EcoAGN trying to create?

Products that people remember because of the moment they were part of. The name AGN began with one family's story; the brand now creates products intended to become part of other people's stories too.
