Technology and Transparency in Swimwear: What Actually Helps Consumers
Share
Technology is most useful in responsible fashion when it helps people access clearer product information, traceability and current specifications.
Material transparency
Digital product information can make fibre composition and certification claims easier to verify. EcoAGN's active swimwear uses rPET — recycled polyester made from recycled plastic.
Certification information
GRS and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 address different questions. Technology can make those distinctions easier to communicate, but it does not expand what a certification actually proves.
Current product data
Live product pages are useful because materials, availability, sizing and collections can evolve.
Personalisation workflows
Digital tools also make it easier to collect names, meaningful dates and bespoke requests for personalised honeymoon or anniversary swimwear.
What technology does not prove
Using technology does not automatically establish fair labour, low emissions, zero waste or a particular production model. Those claims require their own evidence.
